5 stars are not enough... When I moved to Newtown about 5 years ago, I considered driving back to my previous town to have the same dentist work on my mouth. I had been very happy with the care I had received and was, frankly, concerned that whoever I would end up with at the Dental Associates' Newtown office would not measure up. I am pleased to report care and concern at a very high level. Dr. Kessler has proven to be a gentle, positive, and effective dentist, and an excellent communicator. His low-key manner is calming, and most importantly, he both listens to my concerns and explains his observations and plans clearly. In doing so, he instills complete confidence in his judgment and his plans. This became particularly important to me recently as I fell and did some serious damage to my teeth. Since Dr. Kessler was on his last day of vacation, another Dental Associates' dentist saw me immediately. Dr. Kessler saw me the very next morning, coming in before his first scheduled appointment for a special session with me. He was able to lay out his assessment, make projections about when things could be done, refer me to a root canal specialist for further evaluation, and splint a wobbly tooth to another to provide stability and allow healing to occur. I left with hope where there was none before. At each stage, he (and his great assistants) supplied empathetic, reassuring, and positive thoughts about the likely end result. Subsequently, Dr. Kessler performed two necessary root canals, virtually without pain, then capped my broken teeth with temporaries that look better than the originals. To my surprise and earning my further gratitude, at the end of that day, he called me to ask how I was faring. All was well, but I needed an adjustment to the bite. He told me that I should come in for about two minutes of work. I arrived and was ushered into the chair in less than a minute. Dr. Kessler came in right away and quickly figured out what needed to be done; I was out of the office in under five minutes total with a great new bite. Amazing. I can't wait to have the final product in place. Although I don't ever look forward to further dental work, I know that, with Dr. Kessler, I am in the best of hands. His humor, his expertise, and his outstanding patient communication make him a joy to have as my dentist. Sincerely, Alvin
I love the Shelton office. Everyone is so friendly and understanding. Its the first time in my life that I don't mind going to the dentist. I have some serious issues with my teeth and Dr.Fusillo is sympathetic and caring. I already see and feel the difference. Thank you for everything!!
Everyone is so Friendly! Patty at the reception desk is always helpful. She knows me and my family by name. Dr. Renzi is kind and understanding. I never thought I would enjoy going to the dentist, but I truly do. The staff makes it great!
The Dental assistant was very comforting, friendly, funny and reassuring which put me at ease. The atmosphere was wonderful which had me almost not wanting to leave. I left with a wealth of knowledge about my oral hygiene. I would and have already recommend my friends and family. On a scale from 1 to 10, I would rate Dental Associates of Connecticut a 12.
The facility is clean and conveniently located. The doctors are knowledgeable and attentive to my needs. the assistants are very personable too. The receptionists and billing department are also very much customer oriented. It is overall a very good experience to go to Dental Associates of Connecticut.
First review I have written for a doctor. I have had multiple experiences (oh well!) with Dr. Bianca Flora. She has that special combination of being talented, professional and very kind. I would also like to note that my hygienist, Lorraine Sauer, is one of my most trusted health care givers. As much as I quiver when approaching Dent. Ass., Lorraine has this incredibly calming nature that can relax even the most nervous of patients. Keep up the good work ladies!
The entire staff in outstanding. The ladies at the front desk are remarkable about explaining the insurance coverage and making appointments that fit my schedule. Dr. John and Dr. Gund are fantastic doctors. The dental hygienists are all so caring and gentle with my children. THANK YOU!!! :)
Yesterday I was seen for a temporary crown. As always, everyone was friendly, helpful, professional, knowledgeable and informative. From the ladies at the front desk to Dr. Fusillo himself, they all put you at ease and make you feel comfortable. I feel that the equipment and technology used there is also the latest, up to date available. All my experiences with Dental Associates of Connecticut have been positive. For the first time in my 71 years I actually look forward to going to the dentist!
I had a problem with my tooth and I called the office in Shelton, CT and they got me in as soon as possible. My dentist is Dr. Brian Fusillo and he is nothing but the best! I have to say that I was one of those people who didn't like to go the dentist at all, but I just wanted to let who ever is reading this that when you go to Dental Associates of Connecticut in Shelton, CT and of course go see Dr. Brian Fusillo, you will never have that feeling again about going to your dentist appointment! Thank you so much to the Staff and to Dr. Fusillo and to my dental hygienist for all that you do for me and for giving me this great smile :-)

Dr. Bianca Flora, she was amazing, had a two hour appointment for two front teeth extraction and surgical place implant. She was extremely gentle. Twelve hours very little soreness. Very pleased! My experience with with Dental Associates and Dr. Gilman in particular has been nothing but amazing!! In the beginning of my process with invisalign I was eager to start-with my past history of regular braces I wanted to try a modern approach and invisalign seemed like the perfect fit.
My experience with Dental Associates in Danbury and Newtown, CT has been very satisfying on professional and interpersonal levels. I started as a patient in Danbury about 15 years ago. I have always been greeted with a smile by the administrative staff, and seen promptly by the doctors and hygienists.
What can I say about Dr. Genel Guiliano, DMD? I am so grateful!!! If I had kids I would bring my kids to her. She is so lovely and gentle!
dr flora pulled out my infected, bone lost mauler without a hitch. incredible patience and wonderful bedside manner. and i can get very anxious. no bleeding after a few hours. no swelling, no pain after the first evening. today a day later. it is only a matter of watching what i eat, and how i keep it clean. tonight the dr just called to check on me. how nice of her. a pro. if the entire implant process proceeds like this, i am in excellent hands
Dr. Gilman was very flexible in creating an orthodontic treatment plan for us. The "traditional" route of an expander just was not going to be a good fit, due to sensory and physical challenges. Dr. Gilman created a gentle and flexible plan that allowed for a fantastic results (beautiful smile!) without the stress that other treatment plans would have caused.
Dr. Herbstman is the best kind of dentist. He is non judgmental of those who have avoided dentist visits and are embarrassed to begin the process. His confidence, expertise and gentle approach is very comforting. His treatments are professional, quick, and painless. It doesn't get better than that! Little or no waiting in the reception area, with appointments usually kept right on schedule. I would not hesitate to recommend his services to anyone seeking expert dental care.
I'm in good hands with Dr. Gilman & Dr. Aledort as they continue to perfect my smile with Invisalign. Not to mention, the staff is so helpful & friendly. Thank you!

Upon first glance of the "before and after" photos of Davin's orthodontic work, tears filled my eyes. The transformation was amazing and the end result is breathtaking!! Dr Gilman's attention to detail and knack for perfection is extraordinary. I am truly grateful. The best part is that Davin's smile is beautiful even before he enters into high school (unlike the old days when we wore metal throughout our teens and felt ugly) I'd like to also commend Dr. Gilmans team (office and assistants) who always make us feel like we are amongst family. Although we're patients of Dental Associates in Newtown (who are also great), Dr. Dhawan was on call when my 10-year-old son had sustained a painful mouth injury during off hours. "Dr. D." and his assistant, Jill, met us at their New Milford office within an hour.
Both my children go here and they are wonderful. Great with the kids, gentle and patient!
